TRINITY MCC GAINESVILLE
WHAT TO EXPECT
Welcome!
Visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating, and we understand that. This page is here to help you know what to expect so you can arrive feeling more at ease. Whether you join us in person or online, you are welcome at Trinity MCC just as you are.
Sunday Worship at Trinity MCC
We gather for worship every Sunday at 11:00 am. Our service typically lasts about one hour and is available both in person and online.
What Worship Is Like
Worship at Trinity MCC is thoughtful, inclusive, and grounded in love. Our music includes familiar hymns and contemporary songs using inclusive language. Some people choose to sing, others listen quietly, and all are welcome to participate in ways that feel comfortable to them.
Singing may be done seated or standing, and standing is always optional.
Communion
Communion is part of every worship service at Trinity MCC, and it is open to everyone. You are welcome to participate, or you may choose to remain seated, reflect quietly, or observe in whatever way feels most comfortable for you.
What to Expect When You Arrive
You can expect a warm and friendly environment that respects personal boundaries. Visitors are never asked to stand, speak, or introduce themselves. Some people enjoy conversation before or after worship, while others prefer a quieter experience. Both are completely welcome here.
What Should I Wear?
There is no dress code at Trinity MCC. Most people dress casually, and you are welcome to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Children in Worship
Children are welcome to be part of worship at Trinity MCC. While we do not currently have separate childcare or a children’s program during worship, we offer coloring pages, quiet activities, and fidget items that children may use during the service if they wish.
Accessibility
Our building has parking close to the entrance, including accessible parking spaces, and a concrete walkway to the building. As we are in a rural setting, some surrounding areas may be grassy or uneven. If you have accessibility questions or specific needs, we encourage you to reach out so we can support you as best we can.
Joining Us Online
If attending in person is not possible or comfortable for you, worship is available online. Our service is streamed live on Sundays through our Facebook and YouTube pages.
Before and After Worship
Coffee, water, and other beverages are available before worship for those who would like them. Some people gather to chat before and after the service, while others come and go quietly. You are welcome to engage as much or as little as you like.
Who We Are
Trinity MCC is a progressive, affirming church committed to compassion, justice, and care for our community. We seek to live out our faith through inclusion, service, and love for our neighbors.
We would be glad to welcome you, whether this is your first visit to a church or your first visit in a long time.
Come as you are and participate in ways that feel right for you.
