Rev Catherine Dearlove - Senior Pastor and Moderator - mccgainesville.org@pastor|
Rev Catherine joined Trinity MCC on the 8th November 2015 from England as our Provisional Pastor. This position was made permanent on June 12th 2016 by a unanimous vote. She worked in the UK as Founding and Senior Pastor of River of Life MCC, Dorchester, Dorset. She also served as Interim Pastor at MCC Brighton, East Sussex. Rev Catherine has been a member of MCC since 1982 in England, Australia and now the USA. She has a Bachelor in Theology from Brisbane College of Theology, Queensland, Australia and completed her Masters in Christian Spirituality through Sarum College, Salisbury, England. Rev Catherine has served as the European Coordinator for the Office of Formation and Leadership and Development and on the Governing Board Nominating Committee for MCC, and is currently part of the OASIS Team who are working on a virtual ministry worldwide for MCC.

Sandra Emery serves as the Human Resource Management Service, Chief of Labor and Employee Relations for the Malcomb Randall Veteran Affairs Health System, in Gainesville, Florida. She began her career with the Department of Veterans Affairs in September 2013. During her five years of employment, she has held various positions which include Human Resource Officer, Assistant Human Resource Officer and Human Resource Specialist. Sandra Emery possesses over 13 years of Human Resource Experience.
Sandra Emery was born on September 27, 1961 in Humboldt, Tennessee to the late Reverend and Mrs. A. D. Emery. She attended Humboldt, High School and graduated in May 1979. Following graduation, she enlisted in the United States Army in April 1980.
Sandra Emery devoted over 28 years of service to her country, retiring at the rank of Command Sergeant Major in June 2008. She was awarded decorative medals which include the Bronze star (2nd Award) for combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan; the distinguished Legion of Merit for her exceptional service to our country; Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award); Army Accommodation Medal (3rd Award); Army Achievement Medal (4th Award) and various other citations.
Sandra Emery received her Associate of Science in General Education at Central Texas College, Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Master of Science in Business Management (Cum Lade) at Trident University International, Cypress California. She also possesses a Certification from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) in Conflict Resolution.
Sandra Emery has one son, Dexter Lamont Emery who resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She also has nine siblings, (8) Sisters and (1) Brother that reside in the states of Tennessee and Illinois. Sandra Emery comes from a long line of ministers, deacons, gospel singers, musicians and believers in Christ. She finally accepted her calling to ministry in October 2018 and is preparing her application for acceptance to Metropolitan Community Church Readiness for Entering Vocational Ministry (REVM) Program.
Sandra Emery’s hobbies include spending time with family, fishing, bike riding, spending time with her dog “Ace” and relaxing whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Nita was born in Decatur County, Tennessee, the youngest of seven children. She has lived in Florida since 1968 except for a three-year stint in Auburn, Alabama. Nita earned a BS in Sec. Ed. with a major in Biology and minor in Sociology from Jacksonville State University (Alabama) and a Master of Arts from the University of South Florida. Retired since 2003, thirty-two of her employment years were spent as a social worker with the State of Florida and the Marion Co. Florida School System.
Nita had spent fifteen years in a conservative, evangelical church when she left organized religion for five years. During the summer of 1999, Nita attended Trinity MCC for the first time and experienced such a spiritual peace within herself that she knew Trinity was a place where she could once again worship God in spirit and in truth. In October, 1999 she became a member of Trinity and since that time has served in a variety of leadership roles – Deacon, Chair of the Welcoming Team, Worship Coordinator, Chair of Transition Team and various positions on the Board of Directors. Attending the Millennium March in Washington, D.C. in 2000 with thousands of other LGBTQ folks, further convinced Nita that she would never turn back from living her life and worshiping God as her authentic self.
Tara Richardson - Music Director|
Tara Richardson is a native of Gainesville, Florida. She got her first taste of music very young listening to her mother sing with The Durant Singers, led by her father, Deacon Solomon Durant. Travelling all over Florida, Georgia, and Alabama with her mother, she got to witness their exciting take on quartet music. Tara was four years old when touched her first piano and immediately fell in love. Within a few years she was playing at her church, Jerusalem Church of God by Faith, with the youth choir. She also began playing with The Right Key, a singing group that consisted of her and her cousins. As Tara entered her teens, she began to take her craft more seriously, learning different genres from soul to alternative rock. In high school she accepted the position of Minister of Music for Fairbanks Church of God By Faith where she served faithfully for 18 years until 2015. During her time at Fairbanks, she was active on the local, district, and national music ministry. In addition to being a pianist, she also plays the bass guitar.
Tara’s skills extend outside of musician’s pit. In 2015, Tara stepped down from her position at FBCOGBF to pursue her dreams of self-employment and community activism. She holds several IT certifications and spent over 6 years in the IT department at the University of Florida.
She is also a is well-known photographer and videographer that has done work for several local churches, elected officials, and local citizens. Tara also has a long resume in graphic design. She got her start drawing as a child, making comic books with her cousin. By middle school she was creating art for plays (and writing them) and running one of her first “businesses” making CD covers. She also is an AVID video gamer and hosts several giveaway throughout the year thanks to her partnerships with gaming companies. She loves RPGs and almost any multiplayer game. Tara hopes to be able to eventually fund her own Technology Camp for local high schoolers to show them how expansive the technology field is.
In 2019, Tara officially launched her brand, T. Mushell Holdings, under which she runs her music and technology businesses, among others. Tara also has her own non-profit, Path 2 Purpose, to help young entrepreneurs put their ideas into action. Tara is a mentor with S.C.O.R.E. of North Central Florida and Alachua County School Board. She is also a member of Gainesville Area Musicians and the Pleasant Street Historical Society.

Jeffrey Yager - Clerk to the Board - mccgainesville.org@board|
Jeffrey was born in London, England and adopted by his parents as an infant; his father was in the U.S. Air Force and stationed in England. He has 2 brothers, he is the middle child. Jeffrey has lived in Australia, England and the Azores (Portuguese Islands), and has lived in Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Virginia and Florida. Due to his father’s military career, they moved quite a bit. Jeffrey attend 12 different schools by the time he graduated high school. He earned a A.A. degree from Lake City Community College. Jeffrey has worked in the medical insurance industry from 1987 – 1997 with Jefferson Pilot Life Insurance as a Claim Supervisor and then from 1997 to 2003 with AvMed Health Plans in Gainesville as a Claims Supervisor. In 2003, he began working at North Florida Regional Medical Center as a supervisor, manager and then a financial counselor. In 2013, he transferred to the Collections Department of HCA and works from home.
Jeffrey came to Trinity MCC with his partner Jerry in 2005 and they both joined the church soon after. Jeffrey has served on the Board of Directors and on the Pastoral Search Committee.

John was born in Popayan, Columbia. John comes from a bi-cultural family, Columbia, South America and Hastings, Florida. His father's family is from the small town of Popayan, a traditional colonial town, one of the oldest in Columbia. His mother's family comes from a long line of potato farmers in Hastings, Florida. He was raised in both the Catholic and Methodist churches and found himself embracing both spiritual traditions.
John finished high school in Peru, Junior College in Columbia and finished with a Bachelors Degree in Gainesville, Florida. He currently works for an architecture firm in Alachua, specializing in educationally and religious architecture. He has been in a committed relationship for the past 35 years with his partner Thomas Everson.
John did the original drawings for the current building in the early 80's and joined Trinity MCC formally in 2016.

Marge was born in Pontiac, Illinois and raised in Streator, Illinois with five brothers and her Mother and Father. Her parents were a very positive influence in her life. Her father was a Deacon in the church that they attended and her mother was very involved in the women’s group. Her parents taught her that with God’s love all things are possible.
Marge came to Trinity MCC of Gainesville in 1998 along with her spouse Nancy Dotson. She was one of the leaders in forming the Ocala outreach in 2000.
She was asked to serve as a Deacon after taking the deacon class that Rev. Whiting taught. She was a member and Deacon at Trinity MCC of Gainesville until 2007 when she was transferred to Birmingham, Alabama with her Job.
From 2007 until 2012 she was a member at Covenant Community Church in Birmingham, Al were she served as a Deacon.
Nancy and Marge moved back to Ocala in 2012 and again moved their membership back to Trinity MCC and Marge was at that time reinstated as a Deacon.
Marge was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2016 and proudly serves as the Clerk at this time.

Margret was born in Gainesville in and raised in Bronson. She graduated from Bronson High School and Santa Fe College, obtaining her EMT certificate and AA Degree. Margret has been married to Debra Page for 6 wonderful years; and joyously helps raise their fur babies which include: Sonny, Nucky, Priss, Taco, Molli, & Mylo. Margret has been a member of TMCC since 2013. She says the “love, compassion, and acceptance at Trinity are several of the reasons she decided to make us her church home; and she is looking forward to working with everyone for on the growth of Trinity.”

Tamara was raised in the Midwest, and lived in St. Louis, Missouri, from 1989 through 2012. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Webster University, and worked in an administrative capacity at several local businesses over the years. She was also active in politics, running for office multiple times and advocating on issues, including anti-war protests. In 2002 Tamara was hired at Washington University School of Medicine, where she worked in the Epidemiology and Prevention Research Group on several research studies, including an HIV prevention intervention for women in the criminal justice system. Tamara moved her family to Gainesville in 2013, after her boss became Founding Chair of the Department of Epidemiology at UF. In 2015 she became active in the Gainesville LGBTQ community as part of the Steering Committee for Alachua TranQuility, a community group for trans folk and their allies that meets monthly at UF’s HealthStreet.
Tamara was raised in several Christian traditions but had not been active in any church for many years prior to relocating to Florida. The warm welcome and loving embrace she and her family experienced upon visiting Trinity MCC in August of 2015 made it a natural spiritual home for her. She became a member in early 2016 and was elected to the Board late that year.
